A Year of Earth Set: Collective Brainpower in Action

At the first anniversary of Earth Set, we gathered in small, focused groups of four, each bringing a real-world challenge—something they or someone they knew was grappling with. The format was simple but powerful: each person shared their problem, and for ten minutes, the group applied deep listening, open questions, and creative thinking to help uncover insights and solutions.

The challenges were as diverse as the people in the room. Some wrestled with team dynamics, others sought ways to connect with the right investors or break into high-impact work. Some faced strategic hurdles, while others were simply looking for clarity on their next step.

Everything was shared under Chatham House rules, creating a space of trust and openness. In "championing" mode, we listened, shared experiences, offered ideas, and made connections. Time and again, small shifts in perspective led to big realizations.

The feedback was clear: people walked away with fresh insights, new connections, and a renewed sense of direction. Sometimes, just being heard was enough. Other times, a single suggestion sparked an entirely new approach. What stood out most was the energy in the room—the sense of support, curiosity, and shared purpose.

As Earth Set marked its first year, this session was a reminder of why we started: to bring people together in meaningful ways, to think through challenges collectively, and to accelerate the work that matters most. Here's to another year of impact, collaboration, and unexpected breakthroughs.
