For November, Earth Set Bookclub turns to plastic – not where it ends up, but where it comes from, and the vast industry determined to make more of it.
Join us for dinner with Beth Gardiner, award-winning journalist and author of Plastic Inc., a deeply researched investigation into the oil and petrochemical companies behind the plastics boom. Gardiner follows the money, politics and industry strategy connecting plastic to the future of fossil fuels – and asks why, even as the world tries to use less, production is still accelerating.
As ever, an informal, probing and discussion-led evening around one table.
